Here’s Your Chance to Be Insane by Choice

The world’s largest inflatable obstacle course is coming to San Angelo just a few short days from now. For those people interested, there's still time to sign up as either an individual or a team to compete in the Insane Inflatable 5K on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at the San Angelo Coliseum Fairground. The event kicks off at 8:30 a.m.

“I love that we are able to bring in fun and different events to San Angelo," said Andi Markee with Townsquare Media. "These inflatables are nothing like you have ever seen before. They are INSANE!”

This Saturday is your chance to have some good clean fun, no mud or paint required. The Insane Inflatable 5K also has six new obstacles for you to master this year. The course length will be approximately 5K (3.1 miles), yet each venue offers its own exclusive terrain. This is not a timed event, so you can focus on having fun and not worry about the competitive aspect.

“Ideally, you’ll complete the course without worrying who is the fastest, most skilled or talented,” said Stuart Kaul, Director of II5K

Once you have crossed the finish line, the real fun will begin. The INSANE Midway will have a variety of attractions to keep you entertained. There will be Midway games and inflatables to keep you amused if you just didn’t get enough of the action during the 5K. Also, food and beverages will be available along with merchandise and samples from many of the sponsors of the event. 

“All American Chevrolet and Michelob Ultra help us to welcome Insane Inflatable 5K back to San Angelo for a second year, said Markee. "We will have all kinds of booths and games in our Midway with Michelob Ultra beverages to purchase for 21 and up along with a food truck on site. If you don’t want to come and run, there is plenty of fun to be had watching.”

There isn’t much time left to register, and spots are filling up quick, so it’s now or never. About 1,200 runners showed up last year. As for this year, there will be approximately 2,000 participants. Therefore, if you’re still looking for a good reason to run, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society this year. So come out, have some insane fun and show your support.
