Bike Through the Christmas Lights on the Concho River

 

The San Angelo Bicycle Association invites riders, skaters, walkers and runners of all ages to ride with Santa through the Christmas Lights on the Concho River beginning at 5:15 p.m. this Sunday, said a press release Friday.

According to the release, biker riders will trek along with Santa and take in the view of the three million Christmas lights and more than 60 Christmas greeting cards. This non-competitive ride, presented by Concho Christmas Celebration and the Bicycling Association, is free and open to the public.

Santa and Elf John will arrive at 4:30 p.m. by pedicab at the entrance of the River Light Tour on W. 1st St. and Veteran’s Memorial Dr. Parking will be available along Veteran’s Memorial Dr., and the ride will begin at 5:15 p.m. It will continue until 6 p.m. Participants must be off the streets of the tour by 6:15 p.m.

To participate, cyclists and skaters must wear helmets, and bicycles must contain rear reflectors.
