San Angelo Civic Ballet Announces 2015-2016 Performance Season

The San Angelo Civic Ballet (SACB) is announcing its 2015/2016 Performance Season. The Performance Season will include four main productions: Mod Vaude, The Nutcracker, Seven Princesses…and a Bear, and We Are…

Season tickets are now available for purchase online and at the SACB offices. This 2015/2016 Season will feature classical and contemporary dance, holiday tradition, and exciting new choreography from award winning San Angelo Civic Ballet Artistic Director, Gina Patterson.

Mod Vaude - A Vaudevillian Tribute to the Texas Theatre: A dazzling display of variety entertainment and eclectic splendor. Artistic Director Gina Patterson’s choreography and a live band will make the world of Vaudeville come alive in the modern age as a production of stupendous proportions lights up the Texas Theatre once more! Mod Vaude will be performed at The Historic Texas Theatre, October 2nd — 3rd.

The Nutcracker —Join us this December for San Angelo’s favorite holiday tradition, The Nutcracker. This year marks the Ballet’s 32nd performance of the beloved holiday classic where audiences young and old are sure to enjoy the magic and timeless story of the ballet. The Nutcracker will be performed at Lake View High School Auditorium, December 18th — 20th. Seven Princesses…and a Bear: This season’s all new children’s ballet takes a fresh and fun look at timeless principles. An original ballet with an educational theme…and a bear! With a newly commissioned score by Scott Gendel, choreographer Suzanne Smith will bring to life valuable character qualities in this creative adventure.

Seven Princesses…and a Bear will be performed at Paul Ann Baptist Church Auditorium, March 4th - 5th.

We Are… — A festive, collaborative, sensational explosion of activities will surround and inspire this creative endeavor from Artistic Director, Gina Patterson. Singer/Songwriter/Composer, Peter Bradley Adams,; Visual Artist, Emily Leonard; and other guest artists from Nashville will bring a taste of the music city right HERE to San Angelo! We Are… will be performed at Bill Aylor Sr. Memorial River Stage, May 13th - 14.
