VIP Tent Tickets for Annual Boat Races On Sale Tuesday

On Tuesday, April 7 at 8:30 a.m., the Chamber of Commerce will begin reserving premium table seating in the VIP Tent for the 9th annual Showdown in San Angelo Drag Boat Races. Businesses or groups of spectators may reserve a table under the VIP tent at the starting line, on the Spring Creek side of Lake Nasworthy for Saturday and Sunday, June 27th and 28th. VIP Tent Tables are $1,000 each and seat eight people. Each table includes weekend admission and lunch on Saturday and Sunday for eight, premium transportation from the gate to the VIP tent, two cooler passes and access to the VIP cash bar. There will be an added “Test & Tune” on Friday, June 26th. The VIP tent will be open to the general public that day but VIP ticket holders will have entry to the “Test & Tune” event with a VIP Badge. For the 6th consecutive year, Lucas Oil Company will be the major national sponsor for the 9th annual Showdown in San Angelo Drag Boat Races. The event will be held at Lake Nasworthy June 26-28, 2015. During the weekend of Showdown, an estimated crowd of 10,000 spectators, volunteers, and racers will gather in San Angelo to view the event, and in the months following the races, over 6 million viewers from across the country will be able to watch television highlights of the race on the Speed Channel and MavTV, courtesy of Lucas Oil’s production. This partnership not only brings awareness to San Angelo, but also increases the value of sponsorships for other local and national companies.
