Less than a week remains to buy tickets for the inaugural Jazz in the Lumberyard benefiting Habitat for Humanity.
The brand-new event will take place Oct. 26 at City Lumber and Wholesale on 811 West 14th Street from 7:00 - 11:30 p.m.
“I like Jazz and we were looking for a new event,” said Dorothy Noriega, office manager for Habitat.
Local music group Jazz Concho and San Antonio group Cats Don’t Sleep will provide the musical entertainment for the dinner and dance.
Additionally, there will be a live and silent art auction featuring the works of local artists.
“I went to the Chicken Farm and everyone was beyond expectations,” Noriega said in regards to the graciousness given to her while acquiring the auction items.
“Great music, good fun, beer and wine included,” Noriega listed off just a few of the things to expect at Jazz in the Lumber Yard.
Tickets are $50 a person and the deadline to buy is Oct. 22.
For more information, call the Habitat office at (325) 655-7535, or drop by the office at 401 N Chadbourne St to purchase tickets.
