Junior High aged children rode into San Angelo with style on Saturday to compete in the Junior High Rodeo Association State Finals.
Various events from Tie Down Roping to Barrel Racing hyped the crowd consisting of the friends and family of the young cowboys and cowgirls.
One cowgirl, fifth grader Logan Moore, sat upon her horse, Wanda, watching the tie down roping and waiting patiently for her turn at barrel racing.
“Wanda is a good horse,” she explained, “she does barrels and poles really well.”
Both Moore and Wanda were doing well in their division, but more importantly, they were having fun.
“It’s a lot of fun,” Moore said with a smile.
Wanda just shook her head and swished her tail.
