San Angelo ISD Announces New Central High School Head Coaches

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - San Angelo ISD announced the appointment of new head coaches for Central High School's basketball teams for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.

Coach An’Jolique Woodson has been named the head coach for the Central High School girl's basketball team.

Woodson previously served as the assistant basketball coach at Midland Senior High School.

She played collegiate basketball at Loyola University, earning accolades such as Class of 2024 Hall of Fame member, two-time Conference Tournament Champion, and two NAIA National Tournament appearances.

Coach Woodson holds a Master of Education in Coaching and Sports Administration from Concordia University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola University.

Coach Arsenio Geter has been appointed the head coach for the Central High School boys basketball team.

Coach Geter previously led the Lady Cats to an impressive 23-12, 9-1 record during the 2023-2024 season.

His coaching experience includes positions in basketball, football, track, and golf at McCamey, Borger, Brownfield, Brenham, Hondo, and Abilene ISDs. Coach Geter holds a Bachelor of Science in Sports and Exercise Science from West Texas A&M University.

“San Angelo ISD and Central HS are excited with the promotion of Coach Woodson and transition of Coach Geter to the boy's side at Central HS,” said SAISD Executive Director of Athletics Coach Rodney Chant. “Both coaches have a passion for basketball and for the kids of Central HS, we look forward to watching the future of the Bobcats and Lady Cats.”
