Angelo State Symphonic Band Presents 'Landscapes' Concert

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Angelo State University Symphonic Band will present its final concert of the spring season on Friday, April 26, in the Brooks & Bates Theatre at the San Angelo Performing Arts Center, 82 Gillis St. in downtown San Angelo.

Titled "Landscapes," the concert will begin at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public. The program will feature a variety of music, with each piece led by a different ASU student conductor. The repertoire for the concert includes:

• "Into the Clouds" by Richard Saucedo, conducted by Rebeca Ramos of Plains
• "In the Shinning of the Stars" by Robert Sheldon, conducted by Corey DeChaine of Del Rio
• "Skydive" by Chris Bernotas, conducted by Benjamin Martin of Fort Worth
• "Into the Arctic" by Brian Balmages, conducted by Jacob Peterman of San Antonio
• "Kentucky 1800" by Clare Grundman, conducted by Nicholas DeLeon of Killeen
• "Pathways Uncharted" by Michael Kamuf, conducted by Matthew Wenzel of Yoakum
• "Under the Prairie Sky" by Robert Buckley, conducted by Jesse Ruiz-Ortiz of San Angelo
• "Songs of the Sea" arranged by Johnnie Vinson, conducted by Nikki Garcia of Midland
• "Cumberland Cross" by Carl Strommen, conducted by Allison Culwell of San Angelo
