Check Out The New $19.5 Million Christoval ISD Bond Proposal

CHRISTOVAL, TX - Christoval ISD released some info regarding its proposed 2024 bond project.

According to the school district's information, the total projected cost is $18,710,192. The district is asked not to exceed $19.5 million.

The proposed bond project enhances the elementary and high school campuses and even introduces a new “intermediate” campus.

Beginning with the elementary campus, the cafeteria could see a new 1,800-square-foot addition to “meet space needs at the elementary school.”

The proposed bond project also includes a new 8,860-square-foot classroom addition and entrance for the elementary. The addition includes administration offices within the entrance, six classrooms, and new restrooms.

For the high school, the proposed bond project shows a 1,700-square-foot renovation to the existing band hall, transforming it into more cafeteria space “to meet space needs.”

If the bond is approved, the high school will receive a 2,000-square-foot band hall to replace the renovated area for growing cafeteria space.

A 6,360-square-foot renovation and addition to the existing Ag building includes two classrooms, new restrooms, and “more shop space to meet space needs.”

An interesting find shows the addition of a new 26,000-square-foot campus for grades 5th through 8th. According to information, this building will be located adjacent to the high school campus. The new campus will include four classrooms per grade to "address growth in enrollment."

Early voting for the bond election will begin on April 22nd and end on the 30th of April.

Election day is May 4th from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
