EASTLAND, TX – A 71-year-old Big Country teacher accused of having an improper relationship with a student at Eastland ISD has been arrested and indicted.
On Thursday, Feb. 1, the Texas Rangers, along with the Eastland Police Department, arrested William James Culverhouse of Eastland for "improper relationship between educator and student."
He was then booked into the Eastland County Jail.
The arrest comes after Eastland PD contacted the Rangers in December to assist with an investigation involving a female student at Eastland High School.
This case was presented to the 91st District Court grand jury, who gave a valid bill indictment.
