San Angelo ISD Board Says Goodbye to Beloved Superintendent Today

 

SAN ANGELO, TX - The San Angelo ISD board of trustees is set to convene for their regular meeting today at 5:45 p.m. at the school districts Administration Building Board Room at 1621 University.

Notable items on the agenda include commendations for the DESK non-profit organization and the San Angelo READS! community partners. Additionally, the board will acknowledge Dr. Carl Dethloff, the superintendent of the school district, who is slated to retire Dec. 31, 2023.

A series of reports will be presented to the trustees, covering various aspects of the district's operations. 

Among these reports are updates on construction progress, student enrollment figures, developments in academic programs, and the latest on the collaboration between Goodfellow Air Force Base and San Angelo ISD.

Moving on to matters of action, the board will deliberate over bills, accounts, and financial statements. 

A pivotal point of discussion will be the Financial Integrity Rating public hearing. 

Furthermore, the trustees will consider the restructuring of the academic program at Central on Oakes. 

The approval of the Quarterly Investment Report, concluding on November 30, 2023, will also be scrutinized.

Another item involves the consideration of a request for a quote for Fine Arts Consultant Services.
