SAN ANGELO, TX – Texas Leadership Public Schools District Administration has appointed Dr. Hernandez as the new Principal for TLCA San Angelo High School for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. Dr. Hernandez brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to learning.
She started her career as a Spanish teacher at Trinity Lutheran EC-6th and later taught high school English and ESOL at Central High School. Throughout her 14-year career, she has held various leadership roles, including Elementary Principal, At-Risk Administrator, and Assistant Principal at Central High School.
Dr. Hernandez holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree from Angelo State University. Recently, she completed her doctorate in Educational Leadership at Hardin-Simmons University. She is known for her work ethic, dedication to student advocacy, and ability to collaborate effectively with others. She has also presented at educational conferences at local, state, and national levels.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Hernandez is actively involved in volunteering for local non-profit organizations. She serves as the Secretary for the San Angelo Road Lizards Running club and is a board member of the San Angelo Hispanic Heritage Museum. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, training for races, and participating in CrossFit.
