TxDOT Unveils New Educational Railroad Crossing Signal

 

SAN ANGELO – Texas Department of Transportation San Angelo District officials unveiled a brand new one-of-a-kind battery powered miniature railroad crossing sign for the bicycle rodeos Thursday at the TxDOT office in San Angelo.  

Officials with TxDOT, Texas Pacifico Railroad, the Texas Department of Public Safety, the San Angelo Safe Kids Coalition joined children on bicycles to unveil the unique tool to teach children railroad crossing safety.

The new signal will be used for educating 3rd, 4th and 5th graders at bicycle rodeos held on school campuses throughout the San Angelo TxDOT District.
