Abilene ISD Restricts Campus Access After Closing for Covid-19 Uptick

ABILENE, TX –– After canceling classes for several days amid a spike of coronavirus infections, Abilene ISD announced the district will return to normal operations on Wednesday.

According to the district, officials have determined there is enough staff to re-open after closing last Friday due to rising COVID-19 cases among staff and students.

In order to prevent closures in the future, the district is making adjustments to one of the health and safety protocols.

As of now, parents and guardians will not be allowed to visit the campus or join the students during breakfast or lunchtimes.
