GRAPE CREEK, TX –– During an upcoming school board meeting next week, the Grape Creek Independent School District Board of Trustees will honor six local businesses and organizations.

Sponsored by the Texas Association of Schools Boards, the Business Recognition Program "provides a way for school districts to acknowledge those in the community who have gone out of their way to provide services and donate time and energy to their districts."

GCISD will honor the following businesses: 3D’s Plumbing, Lee Lewis Construction, Spectrum VoIP, Global Data Technologies, the Grape Creek Education Foundation, and Grape Creek Parent Teacher Organization.

"Each are being recognized for their giving spirits and willingness to contribute hours to the school in various capacities such as working after normal business hours, sometimes late at night, to ensure the school is ready for students the next day," said the district in a statement. "Tirelessly conducting fundraising activities to benefit the educational needs of students, and loading students on floats and directing traffic for a school parade."
