Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service 2021 Texas Sheep and Goat Expo This Week

 

SAN ANGELO,TX- The annual Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service's 2021 Texas Sheep and Goat Expo is coming to San Angelo.

The event will run August 20th and 21st at the First Community Credit Union Spur Area, located at 4722 Grape Creek Road.

This is the largest event of its kind and is expected to draw attendees from across the nation and even internationally.

Agrilife Extension regional program leader Robert Pritz said, “This year’s expo will highlight a deeper understanding of current consumer needs and opportunities available to producers to meet those needs- thorugh both traditional and non-traditional marketing channels.”

On August 20th, the 48th Annual Sheep & Goat Field Day will run from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research & Extension Center, located at 7887 U.S. Highway 87 North.

The expo will run Friday, August 20th from 12:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, August 21st, from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Last year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event went virtual but returns to its regular  in-person format this year.

Onsite cost for an adult is $75.00 which includes admission on both days on the event. It also includes lunch and dinner on Friday and breakfast and lunch on Saturday.

Youth price is $15.00 per day which includes meals and the Youth Skill-a-Thon on Saturday.

If an adult wants to compete in the Skill-a-Thon, the price is $15.00.
