Wall ISD Announces Masks Will be Optional for Teachers and Students

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Wall ISD has confirmed that masks will become optional for teachers and students starting Wednesday.

The following is the full statement released from Wall's Superintendent: 

"Beginning on Wednesday, Mar. 10, 2021, Wall ISD will follow the Governor's Executive Order which rescinds themes mandate for all Texans.The wearing of a face covering is now an option for all staff and students at Wall SID. It's imperative that families remain vigilant in monitoring symptoms related to COVID-19 and self quarantine if symptoms appear.

Wall ISD will continue to monitor cases in Tom Green County and among our students and staff. Wall ISD reserve the ability to reinstate the mask mandate for students and stage in event  of changed condition and increase in COVID-19 cases in school population. Best Regards Russell Dacy"

Other schools around the area, such as Grape Creek ISD, will continue to wear masks but have alerted parents that changes may occur after spring break.
