Goodfellow Air Force Base Will Train Intelligence Officers for Space Force

 

WASHINGTON, D.C. – An Air Force ROTC cadet who has been accepted into the Space Force Program will train at Goodfellow Air Force Base.

According to the Eagle, on Jan. 29, Alexis de Silva will be the first ROTC student from D.C. to join the newly formed military branch, Space Force.

Silva will be an intelligence officer for Space Force and will get her training from Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo. First De Silva will finish her degree from American University. 

De Silva will finish both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in May 2022 with a minor in political science and major in microeconomic analysis.

According to De Silva's Linkedin, she is currently a Machine Learning Researcher at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.
