Midland ISD To Require All Students To Wear Face Masks

 

MIDLAND, TX -- After surpassing more than 300 cases of COVID-19 in Midland ISD, the school district has announced all grade levels will be required to wear masks to school.

According to the school district, when students returned to in-person instruction only students in third grade and above were required to wear masks.

After more than two-thirds of the total cases were confirmed in October, the school changed its policy.

MISD Chief of Staff Dr. Katie Atkins also stated its reconsidering commencing Phase 5 of the reopening plan. This would allow secondary students to move from 4 to 5 days of in-person instruction a week.
