SAN ANGELO, TX— Howard College San Angelo announced Wednesday they will be hosting a drive-through graduation ceremony on Thursday, May 7th at 6:30 p.m.
During the graduation, each student’s name and degree will be announced, and they will be presented with their diploma cover by Dr. Cheryl T. Sparks, President of Howard College.
Students are encouraged (but not required) to wear their graduation regalia and decorate their vehicles. Faculty and staff will be in attendance cheering and celebrating from their vehicles along the route through the parking lot.
“To accommodate requirements by local, state, and federal entities, graduates are only allowed 1 vehicle per student,” said the college in a statement. “Individuals that live with the student may accompany the student in the same vehicle.”
No other guests are allowed to attend but the event will be streamed LIVE at https://portal.stretchinternet.com/… for family and friends to celebrate with their graduates from home.
KBYG from Big Spring will be providing a radio broadcast at 87.7 that will be available to those in the immediate vicinity of the campus. A recording of the event will also be made available for download.
