SAN ANGELO, TX – The Tom Green County System will be closed in response to the Coronavirus.
In a statement, the library expressed they were sorry for the closure but assured patrons they will provide updates regarding their reopening.
“We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience and would like to reassure the library patrons that notices will be posted of our scheduled reopen date. Please feel free to utilize our wide variety of online resources that you can access from home.”
Patrons on the Tom Green County Library website can find several options to access library resources.
Community members can browse the library catalog, place holds on books they would like to check out, and review fines and fees status online. Late fees will not be accumulating at this time.
The libraries will be offering the following services:
- Curbside holds delivery
- Free street-level WiFi
- Helen’s café will remain open
- Return books at exterior book drops
- Reader advisory will be available via phone
- Access to an extensive online collection
Story Time From Home will also be available and will include story time online and NASA storytime from space.
The North Branch Library will be offering curbside drop off and pickup. Patrons can request materials online and staff will bring them out the parking lot.
