San Angelo's Lincoln Middle School Bands Win Sweepstakes at Contest

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo ISD Lincoln Middle School Honor and Symphonic Bands both earned the Sweepstakes Award at the UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Contest held in Abilene on Wednesday, April 3.

The Sweepstakes Award is given to bands who receive Superior Ratings in both Concert and Sight-Righting.

The Honor Band received Superior ratings from all judges in both Concert and Sight-Reading and the Symphonic Band received 2 Superior Ratings, and 1 Excellent Rating in both Concert and Sight-Righting, earning both bands overall Superior Ratings.

The Sweepstakes Award is the highest honor awarded at the contest.

The Lincoln Band Program is under the direction of Sarah Clark and assisted by Jesse Bailey. Mrs. Clark directs the Honor Band and Mr. Bailey directs the Symphonic Band.
