Iraq War Veteran's Movie About Suicide to be Screened at Stephens Library

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The Tom Green County Library will show the documentary film, Almost Sunrise, about two Iraq Veterans’ journey from suicidal depression to healing.  

According to a press release, the Library has partnered with the West Texas VA and Community Partners Mental Health Symposium that will be held at Stephens Library the next day.

The film will be shown at 6:00 p.m.  Aug 22 in the Sugg Community Room as a lead in to the symposium.  This film is important because is discusses the moral injuries that many veterans suffer.

Veterans and those that love and care for them are strongly encouraged to attend. The film and symposium are open to the public and free to attend.  

Those interested in attending the Symposium must register.  The link is on the Library website calendar for August 23.

The Stephens Central Library is located at 33 W. Beauregard.
