Active Shooter Training at Lake View High School

SAN ANGELO, TX -- San Angelo Lake View High School Teachers Tuesday afternoon underwent training on how to handle an active shooter at school.

San Angelo Fire Department trainer Santos Elizondo walked the educators through the hour long slide show presentation.

Elizondo told the crowd in the Lake View Auditorium that there have been 242 mass shootings in the United States in the last 15 years and it could happen here.

Elizondo and San Angelo Police Department Officer Cade Solsbery team up to provide the URASE, or Unified Response to Active Shooter Event training in the San Angelo ISD.

The URASE training program is available for all schools.
