Police Department’s Drug Resistance Program Receives Funding from Local Church

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Police Department’s nine-year-old D.R.E.A.M. program received a donation from Lake View Bible Church today.  According to information from the PD, Lake View Bible Church pastor Richard Evans presented the Drug Resistance Education and Mentoring program a check for $1,335.55.  The funds were raised at a parking program during the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo in February. 

The program has uniformed officer’s present information to approximately 1,000 fifth grade students in public and private schools in the city.  Issues presented include drug abuse and resistance, bullying, internet safety and peer pressure.
