ASU Top Ranked Nationally for Online Masters Psychology Program

 

A press release from Angelo State University announced that they have been ranked No. 1 on the list of the nation's "Top 10 Colleges for Affordable Online Master's in Psychology Degree Programs" for 2016-17 by CollegeStart.org, an education resource guide that ranks institutions of higher education in a wide variety of categories.

ASU's online master's degree in applied psychology program in one of the three at Texas schools to make the CollegeStart.org lost of the "Best Affordable Online Master's in Psychology Degree Programs." Only accredited schools were eligible for the ranking that were compiled using data from the National Center for Education Statistics. Criteria for the rankings include:

  • Affordability
  • Student-to-faculty ratio
  • Percentage of students receiving financial aid
  • Acceptance, enrollment retention and graduation rates
  • Loan default rates

In addition to the No. 1 ranking for psychology, ASU also ranked No. 6 among the nation's "Top Colleges for Best Online Education Degree Programs."

ASU offers five different online Master of Education degree programs through the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. More detail can ber found here.

The other Texas schools nationally ranked for psychology were LeTourneau University in Longview and Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas. The entire rankings list is available here.
