Angelo State University’s Multicultural Center Set to Honor Martin Luther King Jr.

 

To honor Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy, Angelo State University’s Multicultural Center will host a commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Tues. Jan. 19, in the lobby of the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive, said a press release Wednesday.

According to the press release, the event, which will be on the first day of ASU’s spring semester, will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

“Promoting Peace, Honoring the Dream” will be an opportunity to pay tribute to King for his contributions as a civil rights activist, humanitarian and leader, stated the release.
