McGill Principal Rikke Black Named Lee Middle School Principal

 

San Angelo ISD has named Rikke Black, a current San Angelo ISD elementary award-winning principal, as the new principal at Lee Middle School. 

A native of San Angelo, she earned her bachelor's degree at Angelo State University and her master's degree at Sul Ross University.

Mrs. Black has been employed by San Angelo ISD for 22 years. She served as a behavior management teacher at Crockett Elementary for eight years, taught at McGill Elementary for six years, and served four years as assistant principal at Reagan Elementary School prior to taking the top post at McGill. 

During her tenure as principal of McGill, Mrs. Black has been responsible for closing the achievement gap in STAAR score testing and has led the campus to be designed by the Texas Education Agency as a Title I High Performing School and High Progress School. 

Mrs. Black and her husband have three children and two grandchildren.
