SAISD Announces Early Friday Release for All Students in Light of Football

In the spirit of support for high school football teams, the San Angelo Independant School District announced Tuesday that all SAISD schools will have an early release on Friday, Nov. 21, when Lake View and Central High School advance to area football play-offs.

The Central Bobcats are slated to face Lubbock Monterrey in Midland at 4 p.m., while the Lake View Chiefs will go up against Canutillo in Fort Stockton at 6:30 p.m. Friday.

In order to allow families time to travel to games, the school district will be releasing students citywide early on Friday, according to the schedule listed below. 

High Schools                 12:30 p.m.                                                                                                              Middle Schools             12:45 p.m.                                                                                                          Alternative Schools      12:45 p.m.                                                                                                            Elementary Schools       1:30 p.m.

SAISD will have regular school days on Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 24 and 25.  Thanksgiving holidays for students will be Nov. 26, 27, and 28.
