The nationally ranked Angelo State Baseball and Softball teams were the host of two important conference series last weekend.
On the men’s side, the #11 Rams played conference foe Tarleton State University on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, going a combined 3-1 for the weekend. Friday night, the Rams took game one of the series 8-5. The Rams then played a doubleheader on Saturday, dropping the first contest 3-1 and winning the second 1-0. On Sunday, the Rams capped off the successful series with a 6-3 victory, moving their overall record to 16-5 on the season and an impressive 7-1 record at home.
Meanwhile, across campus, the #24 Angelo State Rambelles took on the #4 Texas Woman’s University Pioneers in a three-game set Friday and Saturday. Game one Friday night saw the Rambelles win 11-3, while the doubleheader Saturday saw the Rambelles win 15-9 in game one and 9-6 in game two. The series sweep brings Angelo State’s record to 20-7 and a winning streak of 8 consecutive games.
