Law&Crime Network Highlights San Angelo Teen’s Case to Millions

SAN ANGELO, TX — The disappearance and recovery of 18-year-old San Angelo resident Kenley Bommarito received national attention Thursday after the Law&Crime Network featured the case on its YouTube channel, which has more than 7 million subscribers.

The segment, published Dec. 4, outlined the timeline of Bommarito’s disappearance from a campsite at Lake Georgetown on Nov. 28 and discussed the multi-day search that followed. Georgetown police announced on Dec. 2 that Bommarito’s body had been recovered from the lake using underwater sonar.

Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber and former CIA and FBI agent Tracy Walder go through what is known so far and what an investigation like this looks like when a case turns tragic, information from the channel states.

Georgetown police have not released details regarding cause or manner of death and noted the investigation remains active.

Bommarito was last seen around 10 p.m. at a campsite in Sawyer Park. Search operations included canines, sonar-equipped boats, multiple agency dive teams, drones, thermal imaging from a helicopter, and trained volunteers.

The national coverage comes as the investigation continues. Georgetown police have asked anyone with information to contact the department at (512) 930-3510.
