WATCH: Man Gets Stuck in Chimney While Fleeing Police During Drug Raid

FALL RIVER, MA — A man attempting to evade police by hiding in a chimney had to be rescued after getting stuck during a drug raid on December 10.

Detectives from the Community Action & Suppression Team (CAST) executed a search warrant at 127 Canal Street. Two men fled the residence via rooftop as police moved in. One suspect managed to escape by jumping onto a parked vehicle, while Robert Langlais, 33, opted for an unconventional escape route by climbing into a chimney. His plan failed when he became lodged and required the assistance of Fall River Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services to be freed.

Langlais was transported to a hospital for precautionary evaluation and later arrested. He faces charges for possession of Class A and Class B drugs, along with multiple outstanding warrants.

A second individual, Tanisha Ibay, 32, was arrested at the residence and charged with possession of Class A and Class B drugs.

Police body camera footage of the incident has been released, with a warning of strong language and graphic content.
