WATCH: Open Carry Texas Leader Threatens Ector County Sheriff

ODESSA, TX – The 2nd amendment rights group Open Carry Texas has responded to the multiple arrests that occurred earlier this month at Daddy Zane's sports bar.

As previously reported, on May 5, the Ector County Sheriff's Office received a call from a member of the media regarding a group of people inside a bar dressed in M.A.S.H. with body armor and possible automatic weapons.

When deputies arrived they found Bid Daddy Zane's filled with members of the open carry group "Open Texas." A SWAT Team was called in and eight suspects were arrested during the incident. Here is the original story: WATCH: SWAT Called In After Armed Group Protests Inside Sports Bar

Now Open Carry Texas' Vice President David Amad says they are returning to Odessa on June 6 and will be bringing 150 men with him.

Amad claims the protest will be peaceful and assures law enforcement that if anyone breaks the law during the protest they would surrender peacefully but also said if protestors don’t believe they’ve broken the law and are arrested, Sherrif Griffis and his deputies should be prepared.

Isn't there a comic convention or basement that would be better suited for these L.A.R.P.ers to congregate and play pretend at?

This is the biggest lying piece of excrement page we've read. There was never any protesting "inside a bar." All guns were kept outside in the parking lot 100% of the time.

We're still looking for their story where Ector County Sheriff's are threatening law abiding gun owners with up-armored combat vehicles. Open Carry Texas doesn't make threats; we make promises. If you don't want violence, don't get violent with us. If you don't want a problem, don't start a problem. All we demand is that you follow the law. Period. We ALWAYS follow the law in EVERYTHING we do. Ector County Sheriff's Office doesn't even know the law.

There was NO ONE inside the bar with a gun. That was proven. The police never found anyone with a gun inside the bar. The caller never saw someone with a gun in the bar. The SWAT was unnecessary and excessive and was the only threat that's been issued. The American people, especially Texans, have a right to self defense. Our only "threat" to Ector County SO is that we will defend ourselves and our rights if they force us. That is our "threat" to anyone that uses excessive force and threatens our safety and security. It's why we own guns. It's that simple. Last I checked, self defense isnt a threat.

We will not be shamed and will not cower to the liberal media or thug enforcers.
