Man Arrested for Threatening to Share Nude Photos, Videos of Ex

SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo man has been arrested for threatening to publish pornographic images and videos of his ex-girlfriend.

Jacob Capuchino, 28, was arrested for threatening to publish intimate material.

According to court documents, on Oct. 2, an investigator spoke to an officer regarding a harassment case. He spoke with the victim, who had been receiving harassing text messages, voicemails and social media messages from Jacob Capuchino.

Capuchino and the victim were in a dating relationship that ended earlier this year. Since the end of the relationship, Capuchino has been engaged in unwanted communicative conduct with the victim.

Beginning around Sept. 29, the victim told Capuchino that all contact needed to stop. Since that day up until the day of the complaint, Capuchino continued the unwanted contact. Some of the direct contact included him threatening to send nude images and videos to the victim’s friends and family.

On Oct. 1, the victim received a voicemail from an unknown number. It was confirmed to be Capuchino, who said that he had the victim’s nude images, and he would send them to her family and friends unless she responded to him and told him the truth about her new relationship. He also stated that he “will always follow” the victim and “know where she’s at."

The investigator also observed a text message from a number confirmed to be Capuchino that showed he would take the same course of action.

A private message thread on “Reddit” between the victim and Capuchino showed that he would post the nude images online and send them to her family if she didn't tell him about her new relationship.

The victim said that she knew Capuchino had nude images and videos of her. She also told the investigator that she believed Capuchino would delete the images and videos, but he never proved he no longer had them. After listening to the voicemail, Capuchino confirmed that he indeed still had the images and videos.

Capuchino was arrested on Oct. 2 and released the next day on a $5,690 bond.
