Dallas Violent Repeat Offender Named September’s Featured Fugitive

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Public Safety has named Anthony Dewayne Oliver, a 64-year-old Dallas man with a lengthy criminal history, as its Featured Fugitive for September.

Texas Crime Stoppers is offering an increased reward of up to $4,000 for information leading to Oliver's arrest if the tip is received during September.

Oliver has been wanted out of Dallas County since January 2026 after a warrant was issued for his arrest on two counts of assault of a family or household member.

According to DPS, Oliver has been convicted of multiple offenses dating back to the 1990s and has served prison time for robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and forgery of a financial instrument. He was released from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in 2019.

Oliver is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. DPS said he has tattoos on his chest, left wrist, right forearm and upper right arm.

Texas Crime Stoppers, which is funded by the Governor's Public Safety Office, offers cash rewards for information leading to the arrests of people on the state's 10 Most Wanted Fugitives, Sex Offenders and Criminal Illegal Immigrants lists.

So far in 2026, DPS and other law enforcement agencies have arrested 53 people from the Texas 10 Most Wanted lists, including 37 sex offenders and nine gang members. DPS said $74,000 in rewards has been paid for tips that resulted in arrests.

To be eligible for a reward, tipsters can call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477), submit a tip through the Texas DPS website or use the "Submit a Tip" option on the Texas 10 Most Wanted Facebook page.

All tips are anonymous, according to DPS. Tipsters are provided a tip number instead of using their name.

DPS investigators work with local law enforcement agencies to select individuals for the Texas 10 Most Wanted lists.
