UPDATE: San Angelo Man Hospitalized After Attempted Burglary

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A man who attempted to burglarize a home Wednesday was hospitalized after sustaining a head injury from one of the residents, according to the San Angelo Police Department.

Police officers responded to the unit block of North Bishop Street near Harris Avenue regarded a reported stabbing at 8:46 a.m.

After further investigation, the incident was determined to be a burglary of a habitation with intent to commit assault. 

A 42-year-old male reportedly entered the residence and was confronted by a 35-year-old male resident. An altercation involving a weapon occurred, resulting in the 42-year-old male sustaining blunt force trauma to the head. 

He was transported for medical treatment and has not been booked at this time. Forthcoming charges include burglary of a habitation with intent to commit assault.

This is an ongoing investigation, police stated, and no further information is available for release at this time.
