SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo man has been arrested after he allegedly produced a handgun during a fight with his neighbor at Meadow Creek Apartments.
Jordan Garfias, 18, was arrested by the San Angelo Police Department for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after pointing a gun at his neighbor.
According to court documents, around 6 a.m. on Aug. 11, 2026, San Angelo police were dispatched to Meadow Creek Apartments, located at 4402 Meadow Creek Trail, regarding a noise complaint.
Upon the investigator’s arrival to the scene, it was learned that the individuals involved were in two adjacent apartments. The suspects, including Garfias, exited one apartment and were detained while the victim spoke with the investigator.
The victim stated that the back wall of his apartment backed up to Garfias’s apartment. He had woken up around 5:20 a.m. to use the restroom when he heard yelling through the wall that is shared with Garfias’s apartment followed by the sound of the sliding back door being thrown open.
The victim opened his front door, where he observed two individuals, a man and a woman, standing on the balcony area near the back door to Garfias’s residence. The victim asked them to be quiet, at which point the two began yelling at the victim. He shut the door while the two continued yelling, and the victim’s girlfriend banged on the window and yelled at the victim and his girlfriend.
The victim then cracked the door and observed four people — two men and two women — when his girlfriend opened the door and began yelling she would fight the two women. A fight began, and the victim said he looked up and saw a male pointing a rifle at him, then saw another man pointing a handgun at him. He pulled his girlfriend back inside and locked the door.
A search warrant was granted for Garfias’s apartment, and multiple firearms were located.
A noncustodial interview was conducted with a juvenile in the suspect's apartment, and it was learned that he was at his brother’s residence when the altercation occurred between Garfias's girlfriend, Miranda Ramos, and the victim’s girlfriend. The juvenile allegedly admitted to brandishing an AR-style firearm while Garfias pointed the handgun.
The investigator spoke with Garfias after he waived his Miranda Rights. Garfias said that he had multiple individuals come to and from the apartment throughout the night. Both the juvenile and Garfias were on the balcony where the fight occurred, and Garfias admitted to pointing the handgun but said he did not intend to shoot anyone and was only trying to scare them.
Garfias was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail on Aug. 11, 2026. He was released the next day on $150,000 bond.
