Morning Helicopter Presence Linked to Warrant Roundup in Tom Green County

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office, along with local, state and federal law enforcement partners, confirmed it conducted arrest warrants in several locations in Tom Green County on Thursday morning.   

Due to the ongoing investigation, more information can’t be released at this time, the Sheriff’s Office stated.

Numerous residents reported to San Angelo LIVE! that they witnessed what appeared to be a raid at a house on North Street on Thursday morning.

There were also confirmed reports of helicopters flying in and around San Angelo and north of the city limits in Grape Creek.

Other residents reported they heard loud noises that sounded like gunshots, though that hasn't been confirmed.

San Angelo LIVE! has reached out to the U.S. Attorneys Office of the Northern District of Texas for further comment.
