ABILENE, TX — An Abilene teenager reportedly stole a vehicle Friday morning, then drove it into a creek.
According to the Abilene Police Department, a resident reported a vehicle at Cal Young Park leaving the road and crashing into Lytle Creek just after 5 a.m.
When police arrived, they found a 16-year-old who had swam to the shore.
The teen was detained because the vehicle had been reported stolen earlier that day.
Police declined to release any more details because the suspect was a juvenile.
