ROBERT LEE, TX — Three Hispanic men remained at large Friday after fleeing on foot from a traffic stop, while the driver of their vehicle was taken into custody following a high-speed pursuit, the Coke County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies initiated the traffic stop around 6 a.m. near the intersection of FM 2034 and Wildcat Road. Three passengers jumped from the truck and fled on foot, according to a sheriff's office Facebook post. The truck, carrying two other passengers, continued westbound on State Highway 158, leading authorities on a chase.
The pursuit ended without incident about 11 miles west of Robert Lee, and the driver was taken into custody. The three men who fled remain at large.
