SAN ANGELO, TX - At approximately 12:45 PM, Tom Green County Sheriff's deputies were requested by the San Angelo Police Department to assist with locating Tyler Drew Lafollette.
Lafollette was a suspect in an Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, which had occurred in the City of San Angelo earlier this date, and an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon stemming from the same incident.
At approximately 2 p.m., Deputies located the stolen vehicle abandoned in the 1200 block of East 21st. While in the area, deputies observed a suspicious subject on a bicycle.
Deputies attempted to stop the bicyclist who abandoned the bicycle and fled for a short distance on foot before being overtaken by Deputies. The suspect was confirmed to be Tyler Drew Lafollette, 23, of San Angelo.
Deputies recovered a stolen handgun from the person of Lafollette and subsequently determined he was additionally wanted on a Texas Blue Warrant.
Lafollette is currently incarcerated in the Tom Green County Jail for Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Evading arrest or Detention (Enhanced), and the pardon and parole warrant, with additional charges pending.
