Crazed Woman Arrested After Biting Off Someone's Finger

SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo woman has been arrested after biting off part of someone’s ring finger.

Samantha Ramirez, 29, was charged with assault causing serious bodily injury.

According to court documents, on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, San Angelo police were dispatched to the 600 block of North Schroeder Avenue regarding an assault. On scene, police located the subject, identified as Ramirez, on the porch of the residence. There were also several other individuals yelling at Ramirez to leave the property.

It was learned that the victim attempted to break up a fight between Ramirez and another woman. While trying to get them apart, Ramirez allegedly bit off a portion of the victim’s left ring finger, which was located on the ground in the front yard.

Medics transported the victim to Shannon Medical Center but were unable to reattach the finger.

The investigator spoke to a witness who said that everyone was at My Bar, located at 420 North Bell Street, and eventually left to the residence on North Schroeder Avenue. She said that after arriving, Ramirez and another woman began yelling and fighting outside the residence. She did not see Ramirez bite the victim’s finger off.

Two other witnesses said the same thing.

The investigator spoke with the victim at Shannon. She said after leaving My Bar and arriving on North Schroeder Avenue, Ramirez and the other woman were fighting outside the house. While trying to break up the fight, Ramirez hit her, too. The victim went inside, but the fight continued outside. She went to break it up again and, as she was trying to separate the two, Ramirez allegedly bit part of her left ring finger off.

Ramirez was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail on Feb. 21, 2026 and was released the next day on $100,000 bond.
