SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo man has been arrested for allegedly uploading and sharing child pornography on Snapchat.
Enrique Ramirez, 27, was charged with possession of child pornography less than 100 visual depictions.
According to court documents, an investigator with the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office was assigned to investigate a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The tip explained that on Aug. 28, 2025, Snapchat Messenger became aware of videos being uploaded using their service. The username “moonlightxxx” had uploaded 27 files of visual media containing suspected child pornography.
Snapchat included the suspected images and videos with the report to NCMEC, and the investigator reviewed each file. Of the two files reviewed, one contained videos and pictures of female children approximately 12 years old performing sexual acts, and the other was a screenshot that depicted 18 short videos of exposed children with many of the videos depicting an adult male sexually assaulting the children.
While Ramirez denied uploading and/or sharing child pornography using Snapchat Messenger, he did state that he observed child pornography on the platform. When the investigator asked what the age of the child was in the pornography, Ramirez stated around 10 or 11. He then described an image of a girl in front of a naked man.
Ramirez was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail on February. 12, 2026, and is currently still an inmate being held on $100,000 bond.
