Racing Biker Arrested After Chase With DPS

SAN ANGELO, TX — A chase involving Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers ended at the off-ramp from the Houston Harte Expressway just before 10 p.m. on Sunday night.

Police radio traffic reported the pursuit began on Arden Road, involving law enforcement and a motorcyclist racing on a high-performance bike.

By the time we caught up with the chase, DPS troopers had surrounded the biker after he apparently gave up while exiting the expressway at Main Street.

DPS arrested 19-year-old Jordan Schwabe and charged him with reckless driving and evading arrest in a motor vehicle at 10:59 p.m. His bond had not yet been set as of 1 a.m.
