SAN ANGELO, TX — A 25-year-old fugitive wanted in Georgia on a felony burglary charge waived extradition in Tom Green County District Court last week, court records show.
Felix Fendon-Garcia, 25, signed a waiver of extradition Feb. 4, consenting to return to Georgia with law enforcement officers from that state.
Fendon-Garcia was booked into the Tom Green County Detention Center on Jan. 27, 2026, on a fugitive from justice charge, according to jail records.
It is unclear why he was in Tom Green County.
The charge stems from a March 27, 2025, burglary at the Coosa Valley Credit Union in Cartersville, Ga., according to a Bartow County criminal arrest warrant affidavit. The document alleges Fendon-Garcia and another individual pried open ATMs inside the credit union, stole approximately $71,000, and fled in a vehicle. Surveillance footage, body camera evidence, and other investigations linked him to the crime, the affidavit states.
A warrant for burglary-building, a felony, was issued in Bartow County Magistrate Court on April 2, 2025.
Following the Feb. 4 waiver, Fendon-Garcia remains in custody pending transport to Georgia, records indicate.
