SAN ANGELO, TX — Baldamar Palacio Martinez, a 50-year-old man listed on the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders list, was arrested Wednesday in San Angelo, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Martinez was taken into custody Jan. 7 by DPS Criminal Investigations Division special agents working with the San Angelo Police Department. The arrest stemmed from investigative information, not a public tip, so no reward will be paid. Martinez had been wanted since September 2025 on a Tom Green County warrant for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
He has prior convictions that include aggravated sexual assault of a child in 1997, for which he was sentenced to 20 years in prison and released on parole in 2015; failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements in 2016, resulting in six years’ probation; and evading arrest or detention with a vehicle in 2023, for which he received 10 years’ probation.
He is also known as Baldy Martinez.
