Texas Man Accused of Beating Man to Death With TV

HOUSTON, TX— A Houston man is accused of killing another man with a television and wheeling his body to a bus stop in a wheelchair, according to court records.

Houston police said Carl Taylor, 44, was arrested in connection with the killing at an apartment complex near 600 East Tidwell on the morning of Nov. 25.

Officers later found the victim’s body at a nearby bus stop, police said. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man deceased at the scene.

Court documents allege Taylor struck the unidentified victim with a TV, causing his death. Investigators said surveillance video captured Taylor wheeling the body to the bus stop and leaving it there.

Police also said they found evidence of the killing inside Taylor’s apartment.

Taylor is being held in the Harris County Jail on a $130,000 bond on charges of murder and tampering with a human corpse.

The victim’s identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Court records show Taylor has a prior criminal history involving theft, robbery and assault. He is scheduled to appear in court in February 2026.
