SAN ANTONIO, TX — A Texas man was arrested Sunday after allegedly threatening to kill his roommate and “feed him to the cat,” then barricading himself inside his home for hours during a police standoff, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by local ABC affiliate KSAT.
Police were called to the home Saturday afternoon after the roommate told officers he accidentally let 52-year-old Bobby Rocha’s dog and cat out of the house. The affidavit states Rocha became upset, and the roommate left to search for the pets.
When the roommate returned without either animal, Rocha allegedly pointed a gun at him and threatened to “chop him into pieces” and “feed him to the cat.” The roommate told police he grabbed his belongings, left the house and called 911.
Officers arrived and attempted to contact Rocha, but were unsuccessful. Rocha allegedly told police he was “willing to die inside the house." The standoff lasted about seven hours before Rocha surrendered Sunday with his hands raised.
Rocha is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and obstruction or retaliation. He remains in the Bexar County Jail on a $40,000 bond, with a court date set for Feb. 26, 2026.
