UPDATE: Two Stabbed in San Angelo on Wednesday Morning

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Two people were stabbed at a residence in San Angelo on Wednesday morning.

At 11:17 a.m., San Angelo police responded to the area of Malone Street and Harris Avenue for a stabbing call. 

San Angelo Police Chief Travis Griffith said the first officer was on scene within one minute of the call and located two stabbing victims. The officer was able to immediately provide medical treatment to the victims.

They're currently listed in stable but critical condition and being treated at Shannon Hospital.

A 62-year-old suspect has been taken into custody.

Griffith said the suspect initially went back into the residence, but upon officers surrounding the house, he chose to surrender peacefully.

The suspect and victims are believed to be family members, Griffith said, but no motive has yet been determined.

Griffith said the suspect will likely be charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
