Student Found Deceased in Angelo State Residence Hall

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Angelo State University announced Monday that a student was found deceased in a residence hall earlier in the morning, according to a statement issued to the campus community.

University officials said they are cooperating with campus and local authorities as an investigation continues. ASU noted there is no indication of any ongoing threat to the campus.

The student’s family has been notified.

“Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with the student’s family, friends and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time,” the university said.

ASU reminded students, faculty and staff that support services are available. Students may contact ASU Counseling Services at 325-942-2371 or schedule an appointment at angelo.edu/counseling. Faculty and staff can access help through the Employee Assistance Program.
